Settlement Greater Than Initial Demand:
Restaurant Chair Collapse
A 49-year-old man fell when his restaurant chair collapsed pitching him backward onto a concrete sidewalk. The man suffered a significant aggravation of a previous back condition necessitating surgery on multiple levels of his lumbar spine.
A product that condensed all of the pertinent testimony, … and other materials of the case into a forceful, compelling and ultimately masterful performance.
Jeffrey Davis, Esq.
This case required significant coordination and collaboration between the medical illustration firm (Art for Law & Medicine, Inc.) and the plaintiff’s metallurgist, orthopedic surgeon, neurosurgeon and the plaintiff himself. The Final product condensed all pertinent testimony, medical records, diagnostic tests, radiography and other materials into a powerful presentation that included an animated depiction of the chair collapse and detailed illustrations of the resulting injuries.
Upon viewing of the presentation at mediation, one of the defendant companies settled the case for policy limits while the second defendant settled for more than the initial demand.
