$2.59 Millon Judgement: Hotel Parking Accident-Highest Award in Florida For This Type of Accident
overview

A 62-year-old man was crushed by a vehicle driven by one of the hotel valet parking attendants. The crash caused injuries to the man’s left knee, requiring surgery and the insertion of multiple titanium pins. Testimony about future medical care and treatment indicated that the man’s injuries would necessitate knee surgery within 10 to 15 years.

RESULTS

Plaintiff won a $2.59 million jury verdict. This is reported to be the highest award in the state of Florida (and possibly the U.S.) for this type of injury.

our strategic approach
The illustrations… were essential to our success in this case.
Jack Hickey, Esq.

We created demonstrative evidence showing not only the significance of fractures to the tibial plateau and distal end of the femur, but the impairment of the whole person. We worked with the orthopedic surgeon to teach the attorney about the depth of the injuries, providing him with a more in depth understanding of the injuries. This allowed him to pursue greater future damages for his client.
